Strategic Thinking is thinking beyond tomorrow. It is looking into the future, and thinking about how you approach the topic you are trying to tackle in a strategic way, so that you can move toward the outcome you are looking for. In essence, it’s taking what you dream for tomorrow, then applying that to what you do today. The most important part of strategic thinking, is determining the outcome you are working toward, that is step 1. Should you not do this, yesterday will look like today and today will look like tomorrow. If you think strategically, while it might not happen immediately, tomorrow will look slightly differently than today, and today will look slightly differently than today, based on where you are trying to head, now that you have strategically decided, where you are headed, and applied that direction to today. Strategic thinking without action is overthinking and action alone without strategic thinking, is a hamster wheel.
